Much work was completed this weekend! We emptied about half the
cabinets, removed carpet and sub flooring in the family room, and
removed cabinets in the mudroom and the peninsula.
One thing of note: As we pulled out the cabinetry under the peninsula we discovered there was a panel that covered a void in the bend. There was just a small gap under the counter. When we pulled off the panel we found a triangle shaped highlighter. Just then our son walks through the room and says, "My highlighter! You found it!" What other mysteries will we solve in our remodel?
I am so excited to pull up the flooring next weekend. It is original!
And take down the warped shelving...
And install cabinet doors that CLOSE!!!
