Fun with a crowbar

  

The current subflooring is 3/4" plywood under an attractive parquet.  In order for it to be flush with the dining room floor we need to replace the subflooring with 1/2" plywood.  We just cut through both layers and popped them out with a crow bar.

We removed soffits on one side only.  One the other wall the soffits cover plumbing for the upstairs baths.
